Adobe announces iPhone app export in upcoming development applications

07 October 2009

Adobe has announced that the upcoming Adobe CS5 Flash Professional will have the capability to export iPhone native applications.  This is of particular interest to me as I've been programming with Adobe Flex for a while now and it's based on the same language that Flash Professional uses.  So I may not have to tackle Apples' xcode development environment to finally get into iPhone development.  I'm sure there are a large amount of other developer's in the same situation as myself so this will be an interesting development for the future of iPhone applications.

Reports of Apple 3GS Overheating

03 July 2009

I've been reading about some of the issues mentioned about the iPhone 3G S overheating.  I've seen posts all over the web stating how terrible Apple is for releasing a product with such limitations.  Nearly all electronic devices have this type of rating.  For example I have an old TomTom GPS unit that eventually broke because it has been repeatedly left in my hot car.  This seems very stupid for a product designed to be used in vehicles, they can't expect users to remove it after each use.  Luckily I was able to repair my unit myself but it was still aggravating.

I do agree that the rating for the iPhone 3G S should be higher...
